Sire: Crugybar Mabon Mai (Derwen Desert Express x Pennardd Boremai) / Dam: Cascob Delyth (Egoes Rhamant x Cascob Elonwy) Maesymor Stud One of the earliest purchases the stud made was in 1976, when Tynynbryn Tywysoges (Ceredigion Tywysog x Tynybryn Gwenno) was bought for 230g at the Llanarth Sale. With her first foal Maesymor Prince (by Tireinon Prince) making 320g back at the sales from which she was bought, and providing the stud with the full sisters Maesymor Rachel (1983) & Maesymor Rhian (1984) both by Beiliglas Cardi she proved to have been a wise investment.

Another early purchase was Llysnewydd Empress (Pentre Eiddwen Comet x a Mathrafal Mare) who was bought as a mare and went on to produce the striking stallion that Keith is running in the black and white photo, namely Maesymor Comet (f.1983 by Parc Welsh Flyer) Empress is pictured with Rookery Daphne (Rookery Juniper x Rookery Dainty Maid) who was the first Section A mare purchased by the Stud. Keith has had a long involvement with the Llanrhidian Marsh Improvement Society and as the grandchildren become more involved, the Section A stock provides a more manageable pony for the granddaughters to show.

One final cob mare completes the early purchases that continues to make an impact on the stud, namely Chancerie Poppy (Farian Prince x Chancerie Iris by Caradog Llwyd) . Poppy produced Maesymor Sunbeam when put to the previously mentioned Maesymor Comet, and the bloodlines of these two early mares continues at the current stud via Maesymor Anwen, Maesymor Lady Kate & Maesymor Sunbeams Last.
